Kathleen Funk (b. 1986, Manila, Philippines) is a multidisciplinary artist and fourth-generation traditional healer whose practice draws deeply from her ancestral lineage and formal training in energy medicine, including a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM). Her work integrates intuitive symbolism, rich textures, and carefully selected materials—including traditional herbs, sacred woods, minerals, in acrylic and oil pastels—forming layered compositions that serve as living records of transformation and diasporic memory.Funk has exhibited internationally, including at Art Gallery Le Logge in Assisi, Italy, and in Pioneer Square, Seattle, WA, and collaborated with brands and institutions such as lululemon and Asia Society Houston. Currently based in Houston, TX, she facilitates ceremonial and meditative interactions with her artwork, actively engaging audiences in embodied experiences of reflection, healing, and energetic resonance.
